I am making a new pipenetwork with labels. At one point an Autodesk rep told me where there was a box to check to get the label to label with the structure "name" for the "description" in the label. I can't remember where the box is to check so it keeps giving the default autodesk name like "Cylindrical Structure.... " Instead of the "Type 1" CB I have set up in the style. Help!

I'm not familiar with such a check box. The only thing I can think of is possibly a command setting for when a structure is added to the drawing for it to use the description in the parts list vs the one defined in partbuilder.
Build your label style with the text component property pieces. The label style composer will enter strings of <text> that directs the label to retrieve that information and how to format the value. You can add regular text within the label as well. Edit your structure's name to be "Type 1" CB then use the Name property in the text component in the label style to retrieve it.
Hi @mickeyc thanks for your post!
I too an unfamiliar with such a feature. As @MMcCall402 mentioned though, you can customize your labels to retrieve structure information. For example, you could have your label pull the structure description or structure name and then format it as needed.

mickeyc.... go to Settings Tab in Toolspace > highlight Pipe Network and right click. Look for Edit Feature Settings.....
Look for Pipe Network Defaults and expand it. Then see attached Capture.PNG, look for Red arrow and change this setting to Yes.
Let us know if that works?

K
