Pipe Network Style

If I want to create a pipe network style that will default to my preferred structure style (plan or profile symbology), what is the method to accomplish this? I realize this is a general subject, but hopefully someone can provide a link to show the way.

when you start creating a pipe network by layout, you can set it up to default to a network parts list. under the parts list, you can add the structures and pipe sizes as required, and have them default to Civil 3D styles of your choice. settings for reference surface (for rim elevation, cover), label styles can also be present here.
