Pipe Network Data Short Cut

Hello Elite Experts,

Pipe Network layout and profiles disappears while updating the source file through data short cut manager...!!!

Hence the revised design information need to re create all the layout and profiles once again from beginning..

That is not the function of Data short cut but to make easier the revisions.

This is the second post on the subject.

Please have a look at what? We can't see your screen and don't have your files.

What version of Civil 3D?

Is this the only drawing where this happens?

If you open a new empty drawing and Dref in these networks then repeat your test does it work in this configuration?

Hi..

All right.. pls see attached the files.. 17095-NC3-STORM-14-05-2019  & 1717095-NC3-STORM-10-06-2019 & were source files, where the first one is older and second one is the latest revised design.

17095-C-NC3-SW-PROFILE is the working file for storm profiles.

Tried to update using data short cut manager , layout and profile which already created from first source file (17095-NC3-STORM-14-05-2019  )by revised second file (NC3-STORM-10-06-2019), results in deleting all the labels and profile in the working file (17095-C-NC3-SW-PROFILE )

Version - 2018.

Not just this file but all project file has the same issues.

Any other information's needed please let me know.

I had a quick look before do check in detail i noticed that, 17095-C-NC3-SW-PROFILE drawing is looking for 17095-NC3-STORM-01-08-2019 source drawing when i try to repair the broken reference.

Can you please upload or provide the previously referenced datashortcuts xml file i suggest you to share the overall shortcut folder so that can check.

Also show the location where its missing so that can cross check from my side.

Thanks for that swift reply and time taken to study that files..

Further, please see the attached text file with those files link for downloading's.  

You can find cad file names '17095-C-NC3-SW-PROFILE' the main working file where created profiles.

Main design files where created data short cuts is in inside the folder named 'DATA SHORT CUT FOLDER' where you will find three design files, revisions with respect to their dates. Hence latest date is 01-08-2019.
