Pickfirst not working 2018 Civil 3D

Pickfirst valve not working, although it is set to 1. Pickadd, qaflags and all other variables are set correctly.

Anytime I select a feature line, surface, profile, cross section, then choose a command from the ribbon bar, it drops the command and I must re-select the items. Any help would be greatly appreciated, its driving me crazy!

Do you happen to have Raster Design installed too? Do you have ability to select with SHIFT+CLICK? Can you check MAPIOPTIONS and IOPTIONS settings to see if they are allowing you to make selections?

  1. In command line run the IOPTIONS
  2. Go to the User Preferences tab
  3. Uncheck the toggle Shift+Left Click Image Select
  4. Run MAPIOTIONS command
  5. Go to General tab and uncheck “Shft+Left Click Image Select"

Let me know if this helps.

Gee Almas:

I don't recall "seeing" you in some time.

Unfortunately, that didn't work. But yes, Raster Design is installed as well.

Will setting PICKADD to 2 (default value) make any difference? So when you are trying to select can you use "R" for remove or "A" for add? Is that being ignored too?

Cleaning and deleting the registry files worked temporally, but the next day I had to completely uninstall Autodesk and reinstall.
