you might try CUILOAD to reload the menu(s) that have the missing contextual ribbon tabs in it. But you might also try a repair/reinstall/ I found that any time I messed with customizing the CUI i screwed it up more than I fixed it. Now I use everything OOTB - thus the reinstall. Resetting settings to default might also be an option, easiest to hardest in terms of repairing the installation.

Tried CUILOAD unloaded all menus and added them back no joy.

Cant reinstall as that's down to the I.T. police no admin rights here.

Will try the settings thing but not holding out any hope for it cheers

Type in OPTIONS. Go the Selection tab. Under "Ribbon Options" section, click the "Contextual Tab States" button. In the Ribbon Contextual Tab State Options Dialog Box , reduce the value for "Object selection maximum for contextual tab display" to 1. Contextual tabs will still display when only 1 object is selected.

Instead of looking at the C3D menu for the contextual tabs, scroll down to the Partial Customization files and expand the Acad CUI Ribbon tree. That is where you will find the tabs defined for the Hatch (and other) objects.

Thanks Jeff didnt know that but there they are, i got them showing by copying in someone elses c3d.cuix file which was bigger (261kb compared to my 256kb)than mine and they now show up when i start the hatch command.

Your instructions are superb and I now have functional contextual tabs. Thank you.
