X-Sec view Placement options>Draft no grid?

I'm coming to the conclusion when selecting the Section Placement>Placement Options>Draft the cross sections will not display the grid EVEN though the description says verbatim,

Grid.png

I suppose this means a grid row and column of section views and not an actual line grid?

It will place them in a gride view whereas the Plan Production option places them on a sheet, with each sheet lined up next to each other.

  • I understand your confusion. In this case the grid refers to the 'gird' produced by the section views themselves, not a grid as in the background of the production views which are part the of Group Plot styles. No sheet, no groups, no grid.

So that I understand this completely a grid only gets placed when I use production and NEVER when using Draft? I know that both types use my same Group Plot Style and the grid is set to on. My confusion came when I saw a youtube video and in draft type the guy had a grid placed. Could have been the Civil3D grid that was already on in the model space.

Your guess on the ACAD background grid is probably correct, I'm not familiar with the video, just the using styles and sections views.

These is a grid that represents your paper size.  I use that when using the Plan Production option/.  You can turn that on in the display seetings of the group plot style.

While I'm here where can I set the default code set style for my corridor data source in my cross sections? It defaults to Standard, and I can't figure out where the default styles for corridor sampling are.

@RobertEVs that's a good question.  There is no option for Default Code Set Style in the Default Styles when creating Sample Lines.  Also, when I try to find references to the Standard Code Set Style, it takes me to the Materials section buried under my Alignment in the Prospector.  We do not use QTO or Compute Materials.  And also, the Replace With command when right clicking on the Standard Code Set Style returns a syntax at the Command Prompt of "Reference Could Not Be Replaced"  This tells me it's imbedded in the programming somewhere and we cannot change it, at least not that I can find.
