Mtext Problem

A coworker went to move some mtext in paperspace and the mtext disappeared. We thought not big deal and tried copying in a block of the mtext from a backup copy. Nothing copies in when we tried that . There isn't even an object for the missing text . We have checked font sytles, text size, zoomed extents, etc . Any help would be appreciated .Thanks

Can you post the drawing?

Can you create a new MTEXT object? Does it show up?

Immediately after you paste in the MTEXT from the other drawing, run the LIST command, then use "L" as the selection (for the last object created). Does it list the object you just pasted in?

My first thought would be a frozen or off layer. Have you checked this?

Please "like" and "accept as solution" if this resolves your problem!

Check to see if your text is annotative. If so, check your annotation scales.

Also, I have set my annotative scales and the text did not show up until I got out of the viewport, unlocked it, re-picked the annotation scale of the current viewport.
