modeling drop kerbs in civil 2020

in previous versions i would just change the kerb face height in the corridor cross section editor.  however in civil 2020 this does nothing.  the only kerb related option that does anything is the waterline offset.  what am i missing ?

Hi @j.harperMQPZC ,

Thank you for reaching out in the Autodesk Forums. This is a great platform where you and the rest of the community can benefit. I need a little more information to replicate this one my end. Can you attach some screen shots, screencast and/or .dwg for testing? Do you know what previous version you were able to accomplish this?

Hi please find attached a word file with screen shots and an explanation of what worked in 2018 (and all other previous versions) and what happens in 2020. If you need to know anything else please let me know.

I believe you will need to either post your drawing or a portion of a drawing showing your problem.

attached is our template file, with two basic assemblies created.  The top one has the kerb face changed from 125mm to 50mm (though it does not do anything) and the bottom assemble has the water line set 75mm below the channel line, which is the only way i have found to lower the kerb heights in this version of civil 3d

Hmmm. Are you based in the UK/Ireland and using the UKIE country kit, by any chance?

It appears that way. If so, I would recommend viewing Jo Wright's video regarding the 2020 UKIE Country Kit. Jo maintains the UKIE Kit and, in my opinion, is doing an outstanding job with the kit as he builds on the solid foundations laid by Jack Strongitharm.

Here is a link to Jo's video:

I don't really like the way the waterline works on the kerbs.  I normally use the custom option where you can input the upstand height.

So do I but it does not appear to work

hi @j.harperMQPZC ,

For the UKIE Country Kit. If you are using a Kerb Type which is based upon one of the standards, then the custom values cannot be edited. The Kerb type needs to be changed to "Custom" in order to change any of the custom values. Please see attached picture for changing the Kerb Type to "Custom".

Also here is the help documentation where "custom values will be ignored should a standard designation be chosen"
