Line type for block wall

I am trying to create a new linetype to represent a blockwall (CMU wall). I used the shape and make linetype commands and went through the steps. But why does it show the lines at the ends coming out like this? See below.

The reason you are seeing the lines is the system thinks there is not enough room to place an entire block.  It has no ability to shorten the block.

The problem I have always had with these is the angle points have to line up exactly with the end of the block segment or the block will run past the angle point.

My advice is you will have more success with the arraypath command.  Path arrays are way more flexible, and you can create them out of literally any object in you drawing very fast.

Put the path line (polyline usually) on a noplotting layer.  Have fun.

Thanks for the advice. Array is a great quick solution, but still need to learn how to create a linetype correctly. I want to include it the template and not have all kinds array lines in the drawings. So if you know anyone (maybe someone from Autodesk) who can explain how that would be great. Thanks.
