Retaining wall linetype

Anyone have a linetype for a retaining wall that appears as two parallel lines with a V spaced inbetween?

______________

V    V    V    V   V

I have a file with this linetype and have used express tools to extract the shape and linetype but niether seems to work.

Willing to trade if you need something else. 🙂

John,

If all else fails, draw a line using this linetype then copy/paste that line to a new file.  Delete the line from the file and save the file.

Whenever you want to use the linestyle, INSERT this dwg file (but you don't need to actually place it).  The linestyle should be available for use.

Thanks Doni but I need to deliver this to clients to and would rather have a good definition.

For anyone who needs, it's attached.

John,

Your linetype works for me in 2015. I'm in a 1:250 metric drawing and had to make the LTScale 100 to make it visible. You've probably checked the simple things like making sure the path is added to Support File Search Path and the Trusted Locations (if outside the normal pathing).

Have you tried inserting the shape in to your drawing?

I gave up trying to extract theirs and created my own. I just posted the results to share. 🙂

Did you also download the shx file that jmayo posted (in his previous
message)?

It has to be in the same folder as you Lin file.

As Doni mentioned the shx file needs to be in one of Civil 3D/AutoCAD's support paths. The lin files are typically in the default support path. You can find the support paths in the Options dialog, Files tab. In the attached I have Civil 3D's default support path highlighted and you can see the entry above is added for our company. Copy the shx file to the highlighted folder on your PC. Note that the shx file must reside on every PC that uses this file. If the shx is missing you will be prompted when opening to locate it. If the program does not find it the line will not display properly.
