I have an issue with our rail linetype which is required by the approving agency to look like a series of dashes and "+" characters.
In the drawing the lines appear just fine and but when printed or when viewing in plot preview any lines which are not exactly horizontal or vertical end up with random bends, vertices, or artifacts which affect the presentation and make the drawing look odd. Depending on the users zoom level in PDF or plot preview this can go from unnoticeable to extremely distracting. Below and attached is a snip which shows how the lines are misbehaving.
Jagged Linetypes in Plot Preview
The outermost linetype uses a .shp file to create the appropriate shape and the innermost line uses the attached linetype which is simply a combination of dashes, spaces, and a "vertical bar" character using the simplex font.
Changing print resolution doesn't appear to affect anything. Using the dwg to pdf plotter.
Can anyone help me figure out how to rid the drawing / linetype of these artifacts or create a linetype which does not have this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi @tom.buhler
Could you please check if Linetype generation is 'Enabled' in Line/Polyline properties?
