Intersections

I am currently learning how to use the intersections feature to create or add to an existing corridor. I have two intersecting streets at a T not a full cross. When I create the intersection, it gives me options for all four quadrants when I only have two quadrants (two returns). Can someone help me figure this out? I thought it might be because my alignment goes past the intersection, so I tried to mask it up until the two alignments intersect but that didn't help.

TIA!

You are getting quads because you have a crossing intersection as you state. Masking will not remedy that as it only hides that part of the alignment. It still exists as far as geometry goes. You can always create all quads and region-select then delete the two unwanted ones.

You can tell when you will have 4-quads when the wizard asks you to select the main road alignment.

I just tested and if it crosses more that 0.247' it will want to quad on you.

I had a feeling it was because the alignment extended past the intersection. I'll just have to delete those quads once the intersection is created. Thank you!
