importing from .laz (LIDAR)

First I would like to say that i'm a newbie in Civil 3D... I would like to import some data (create a surface) from a LIDAR scan .LAZ... Is there any way to do this? Thanks!

Import the .LAZ file into Autodesk ReCap (installs at the same time as Civil 3D, but runs separately), then save the ReCap project. Import that into Civil 3D, being sure to scale it from meters to either international or us survey feet.

recap doesn't seems to support .LAZ file...

Current versions of ReCap support .laz.

Ok... Thanks again for all the great help!! I was able to decompress using laszip (as it was googled). Now I just need to figure out how to create a surface from the .LAS files... Thanks a bunch guys!
