Contour Label Styles

I need to know why my surface contour labels default to layer zero and size 10" even after I have edited these contour label default settings to be in a surface that I created, and to be a certain size. How can my surface labels not default to a default setting I just changed?

That's a good question. Did you set the defaults here?

If you want this default carried down through existing styles, be sure to click the Child Override so that it has the little red x next to it.
