How to move a path-based pressure pipe horizontally without losing branch connections.

Hi All!

We modeled our proposed waterline using path-based pressure network.

We now need to shift the mainline 3 feet horizontally, but when the alignment grip is dragged; all the branch fittings from connected pipe runs disappear. I understand the branch fitting wouldn't work until all is shifted, but if it could stay and only flag as a warning until fully revised that would be a better option.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

FYI - this is in C3D 2024.4.1 - Windows 11

Unfortunately, I dont think this is something that is possible, because stretching one alignment does not cause the branch alignments to stretch as well.  They are not physically tied to each other.  However, once the main line is moved, you can just grip edit the side alignments, and it will recreate the fittings.

Thanks, Chris, I appreciate your input.

I'm aware that is one option, but it doesn't suit our workflow for a variety of reasons. Mainly though are the fitting labels at each tee have special instructions and get wiped out upon shifting the main.

It is a glitch or bug though that needs fixed because we attempted to circumvent the issue by simply using the move command to shift the entire network horizontally. Maintaining the exact connection. We figured it would be less of a slog to readjust the side connections.  What happens is the tees or branch fittings still disappear completely.

We'll continue to work our way around it until Autodesk corrects the bug.
