How to draw an arc using delta, length and radius while in polyline command?????????????????

Hello.  I drawing a center line from record survey data and it would be great if I could use delta, length and radius to draw a curve while in the arc mode of the polyline command.

Is this possible?

I can't seem to find a way to do it.

Thank you for your time.

Hi @DavidLoria

While it’s not directly in the Polyline command, you can use the Civil 3D curve tools on the Home ribbon > Draw panel > Curve menu (not the arc menu!). I think the Curve Calculator will be useful for you to draw the curve based on the parameters you have then use the JOIN command to join it with the Polyline again.

Hope this helps,

While your data will not be a polyline initially, your best bet is probably the newer Traverse Editor or the still available CogoEditor. All data can be entered (spreadsheet like) and then imported as a polyline.

Thanks guys.  All 3 of those options work depending on the needs.

It would be reeeeeeealy cool if they just built it into the polyline command.

This works for me:

I'll assume while in the polyline command you know where the PC is. After clicking the PC change to arc on the command line and enter the length. The arc will be tangent the length assign and the other business should be correct by default
