How to collectively create subassembly in Autodesk Subassembly Composer?

How can I work collectively on a subassembly Autodesk Subassembly Composer for Civil 3D?

What methods are there?

Great idea and thanks for creating a great post. Creating a subassembly and saving a (PKT) file while collaborating with multiple users is not a function of Subassembly Composer.

Conventional file management is available such as storing in a common location and multiple users opening/ sharing the (PKT) file is available, but not concurrently. 

In example, one person can create the subassembly "saveas" a *.pkt file and then share that file on a network for a second user to then open it, however both people can not have it open at the same time and maintain the integrity of the subassembly file.
