How to convert once exploded cogo points to cogo?

hi everyone,

some time we receive a file of exploded cogo points ( exploded one time)

and some time we explode the cogo points to send some one who is not using the civil 3D.

so is there any possible way to retrieve the cogo points from the same exploded cogo points?

Samir,
That looks cool! I haven't used Dynamo, don't even know anything about it. But I do notice that your DYN Script has 1370 lines of code. How long did it take you to write it?

Dynamo is not difficult Dave. it took about 1/2 hour and I am actually slow
because I am still learning! I don't know how you figured out the lines of
code, but to write the script you simply arrange the already written code
in the form of these Node "boxes".

I wish I can take credit to writing code 😉 but I really did not! I just
arranged the code like playing Lego!

it is very powerful yet so flexible in my humble opinion, hope more people
get interested.

If you have access to the LDD database just re-import (Google, 'Import Points from Land Desktop Database') them into your Civil 3D dwg.

Many reasons listed here for not exploding points but everyone missed how much time is devoted to this post and trying to put them back together. 🙂

Note C3D cogo points make much better labels than AutoCAD text. Master the styles and you will never need text.

Hi @Anonymous

Dynamo is a visual scripting application available as a separate extension download for Civil 3D version 2020 only. Not available for 2018 unfortunately. If you like to send me your drawing, I can use it on my machine and send you back an ASCII file for reimport in your 2018 drawing.

let me know,

Do you have administrative rights? If not. You'll have to get your IT to run it.
