How to Automatically align multiple texts to the closest line.

Hi there,

I have thousands of text along curbs and such, as seen in the image below that I have to manually torient to the closest line which will take me hours.

Is there a way I could get all the selected text to align to the closest line?

I wouldn't mind going through and moving the text to the line.  I just want to get the torient function out of the process as it is taking forever to manually align

Much Appreciated

If those were blocks, they could include an align grip where you just point to a linear object and the block aligns to it. It's pretty sweet.

I think you need to write code for it. I am curious about it as well

I have developed a workflow that does something similar but for cogo points. If you are able to convert those text to cogo points attached to the ends of the line then I might be able to help you.

Are you looking for like a 1 click rotate command?  I too have something for COGO points, but I also have something I use for street names to align them to ROW, it requires 2 points though.  It probably could be rewritten to automatically assume the insertion point and then the only point you are selecting is the rotation angle.
