Help with Slicing a 3D Solid!

Hey everyone - I've tried searching the web but haven't had much luck in finding a solution to this problem.

1.  I have a 3D solid which needs to be cut off at a certain elevation -- to clarify, this is a concrete structure which will be poured in stages, therefore we need the shape of the object at the elevation it is being poured to.

2.  I've tried the slice command, it does not work -- returns this error: "Slicing plane does not intersect the selected solid."

3.  I've tried creating a surface and slicing to it rather than 2 or 3 points -- returns this error: "Slicing plane does not intersect the selected solid."

The errors it is returning do not make sense! The object just needs to be sliced along an elevation...

I've uploaded a DWG of the 3D solid (in yellow) and included the surface (green).

If anyone has any advise please help! 🙂

Thanks for looking into this -- however, it seems that there was a rather large portion of the solid removed.

The solid needs to be sliced along the elevation (green surface), which is 122.0

What was the guards command you mentioned?

First.- comand: Audit

Second.- comand: Purge

Third.- Comand: Save, close the program and open

I did not know that was what you wanted ...

Ah, sorry, I should have been a bit more clear.

The surface that is in the DWG (green) is the elevation of which the 3D solid is to be sliced at.

Basically cut the 3D solid in half at elevation 122 in the model, leaving two peices of the solid behind...

I suspect that there are multiple faces or surfaces that are contained in the body of the shape. It sliced as it should when sliced along the zx axis with the slice point located at the mid point of the farthest tunnel. See attached screen shot

What ever the error is in the solid it is inside a 3'x3' column enclosing the nose of the v shape between the tunnels
