Grading Problem

Hi,

I have a problem with the Grading because when I create a grading the contours line don't intersect correctly my existing ground, I think that it has to do with the perpendicular line (see attached image) , the red circles show the problem.

Note: the limit (perpendicular line) is only for illustration

I'm using Civil 3D 2017.

Regards

(sorry for my bad English)

Any chance you can post a sample file we can play with?

Perhaps you need to describe how you are using the gradings.

It looks like you are grading from the magenta line to the existing surface at 3:1 per your grading criteria image.

If that is the case, the behaviour shown will be as per design.

Gradings go perpendicular from their source object.

To get a grading to splay out, you need a curve. perhaps you could play with a small curve at the end of your featureline to get the grading to cover the area you want.
