Fixing Jagged Edges in Lighting Heatmap Map between 2 Surfaces

Extremely new to Civil3D so please bear with me. I am using a procedure to calculate Volume Cut and Fill Between 2 Surfaces for the purpose of presenting lighting effectiveness on an airfield. So far we have two csv files:

  • Ground Level (-104.66995, 39.86337, 0)
  • Lumens (-104.66995, 39.86337, 244.22)

The data is presented as Long, Lat, Point Elevation where the point elevation is lumens. The ground level data set is simply the lumen data set in the same positions but with 0 lumens.

So far it appears to be working. The only issue now is fixing the jagged edges. How do I fix the jagged edges?

Questions: 

1. Will this procedure work?

2. How do you get rid/correct the jagged edges?

3. Are there better methods of doing this?

Very hard to diagnose without getting hands on the surfaces. Are you able to attach the DWG?

Hi! Yes, attached is the DWG. I also included the .csv data in case you or anyone else needed it.

It looks like the surface Lumens is based on the points but there is an east/west gap in the middle.  If you delete the triangles in this surface to reflect this area with no points, the heatmap will look better.

I deleted the lines in the region you mentioned. Now the map looks like this. Not sure if this is how it should look.
