export tin surface to ESRI format on Civil 3D to use on QGIS

Hi guys

I've got a question here, am I able to export the created surface( TIN surface) from Civil 3d and export it as ESRI shape file to be able to use on QGIS? I need QGIS to create a terrain(in TIF format) based on the surface I create on Civil 3d.

thanks

Hi Jack,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
You can export a surface in Tiff format, or you can extract points or contours to create a shapefile.
More details please on what you're doing in QGIS.

Hi Dave

thanks for your prompt reply, and yes my final purpose is to get the surface running on the HEC-RAS to run the flood analysis, I've found the way to save the created surface as TIFF format( which the file format I want on the final step when everything finishes on QGIS). but here is another problem, when I open it on HEC-RAS, there is an error...
