Hi Civil 3D team,

Can I able to export the points on cross sections on a spreadsheet? If you know something about it or have any other alternative solution please feel to share. Cheers

Hi @cadmate_

There is not a way to do this out of the box. Essentially, you'd need a way to generate points of a specific Section (veritcal section), in plan view, along the sample line. From there you would then export the points - but this does not exist out of the box. It could be done in .NET or even perhaps Dynamo, but it would take a bit of effort.

Alternatively, perhaps Section Reports would get you what you need? This would be coming from the Corridor, assuming you have a corridor.

If you are running Sample Lines from surface data along (ie from just a few survey'd surfaces) then there is not a way to do this without custom development of some sort.

Perhaps a suggestion on the Civil 3D Idea Station would be beneficial.

Follow up - It looks like Project Explorer has some ability to do what you're after, but appears to only be one section/sample line at a time and not all at once. You can copy/paste the grid of data into Excel.

Thanks @stevenh0616 for the reply. In this endeavor, I refrain from establishing corridors solely for the purpose of generating elevations for slope stability analysis software. Instead, I have employed the following methodological steps to procure elevation data and seamlessly integrate it into a spreadsheet format.
