Export feature lines from corridor retaining layer from code set style query

Hi

Here's what I want to do;

Extract feature lines from a corridor and end up with 3d polylines that retain the code set style WITHOUT having to manually assign layers in the auto corridor feature lines dialog box. For example - if a feature line that represents daylight cut is on a layer named FEATURELINE_DAYLIGHT CUT, colour by layer, linetype by layer in the code set style these properties are retained when extracted to auto corridor feature line.

When using the extract corridor feature lines dialog I see I can change the layer for each feature line individually or by point code, can this be automated to default to the layer assigned in the code set style (maybe using a layer name modifier or something)? I am exporting the same feature lines assigned to the same layers all the time so having to set layers in this dialog every time is a huge waste of time.

Cheers

Set up your codes as required, export corridor featurelines, move them to a separate drawing and use EXPORTC3DDRAWING. Nuts that this is the process. Autodesk, we have a work around for that.

You can export a polyline from the corridor. It won’t be dynamic but it will put it on the feature line style layer. “Createpolylinefromcorridor” command.

another thing is settings > corridors > commands > featurelinesfromcorridor // in the feature line creation part set the layer to use current. Then when you export the feature line it will place it on your active layer. Useful if you need the dynamic link.
