Exclude cut calculations for side ditch and riprap?

Hi,
Is there a way in Civil 3D that I could exclude the cut area for side ditch and riprap as shown in the attached photo, indicated by the red rectangle. The cut hatch (yellow) should not be inside the boundaries of either the riprap or the side ditch. The only way around this, is I export to Autocad and then edit from there.

Dear Friend,

You can extract the feature lines that contributes to ditch and rip rap. Then make a close polygon or polygons from the feature line and add it as a hide boundary for the surface of cut/fill calculations. Then this area will be omitted from the material quantities.
