Editing multiple subassembly properties

I have several assemblies set up in my model, each with atleast one BasicSideSlopeCutDitch for existing ground tie-ins.

When the model was set up, the cut and fill gradients were set to 1 in 2.5.  I now want to set them all to 1 in 4.  Is there a way of editing multiple subassembly properties at once (for different assemblies)? Or will I simply have to either edit them all manually or delete out all the BasicSideSlopeCutDitch subassemblies with the existing properties and replace them with new BasicSideSlopeCutDitch subassemblies with preset properties?

Any shortcuts/insight most appreciated.

@Anonymous way is to open Properties Palette > enter QSELECT @ command line > Object Type Subassembly > Operator: = * Wildcard match > Value: *BasicSideSlopeCutDitch* > OK (Note the asterisks).

Then in the Properties palette there should be the number of subassemblies found using this name, enter the slopes as desired.

(If the slopes vary this approach might not work for you but if consistent it will.)

If  the subassemblies have been renamed then you'll need to use that naming in qselect dialog.

That's a great help, thanks. Didn't realise te slope could be changed through the "properties" box rather than the "subassembly properties box!

Hi, I am using C3D 2016 and tried this approach, but the properties value doesn't allow changing the value. The sub assembly was renamed and I used that per your instructions. Any idea why this is not working?

Please post a screen shot of the Properties Pallete with the offending subassembly selected.

I finally got it to work by recovering the file. Thanks

Hi, that was very helpful thank you!  but what if I wanted to change transition configuration (that is a text, for example: hold grade, change offset ) would QSELECT work in this case? how should I do|?
