Drape an image on to a sphere

Hi,

What is the best way to drape an image onto a 3D sphere?

I'm a long time autocad user but new to civil 3D. I know I need to create points first but I'm struggling.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You're using a term, Drape, that means draping an image onto a Surface. Civil 3D will not model a sphere using a Surface.

This video shows how to do what you're asking, but using AutoCAD functions.
