Default Daylight Subassembly?

Say I want a subassembly in a fill condition to slope to an existing surface at a 10% slope, but if the slope width is greater than, let's say, 5 feet, the slope changes to a 50% slope after 5 feet to meet the existing surface.

Is there a default subassembly that does this? Or would it have to be a custom?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about daylight subs, I rarely use them. But a simple "ConditionalCutOrFill assembly with generic "LinkSlopeToSurface" and "LinkWidthAndSlope" will do it with a minimum of fuss.

hey thanks. ive been playing around with those subassemblies and i just cant get the conditional cut or fill to work. im thinking it using the min and max distance to set the conditions?

condition 1: distance = 0 to 4.99, insert assembly to grade to surface at 10%

condition 2: distance = 5.0 to 9999, insert assemblies to grade at 10% for 5.0 feet then grade to surface at 33%.

is this correct?

Your approch sounds right, but its never that simple.

Try the attached set up. Just copy and paste from my fill to yours, the use the "copy to" command in the right click menu to add them to your assembly. Or use it as a guide to create yours. I used a "LinkSlopeAndVerticalDeflection" in stead of the "LinkWidthAndSlope" I recommended yesterday, it might serve your purpose better.

Note: The conditional fill assemblies have to target the surface in the corridor.

okay i see, the min-max distance is measuring the y distance not the x distance. which i can back calculate with the x distance and slope.
