Data Shortcut Set Working Folder and . . . nothing

I have 2021, 2023, and 2024 versions of C3D installed on my work computer running Windows 11. When I right click on Data Shortcuts [] to set the working folder nothing happens - no dialog box to browse to a working folder. It is the same across all of my C3D versions. I am unable to set the working folder.  Both the New Data Shortcut Project Folder... and Set Data Shortcut Project Folder... work. I also have access to a virtual desktop (VDI) running Windows 11 and I am able to set the working folder on that machine. But when I set up the data shortcuts on the VDI and associate the drawing to a project and then open them on my desktop my Data Shortcut in prospector looks like the working folder hasn't been set and I can't set the working folder or see and of the data shortcuts previously made on the VDI in the prospector.

I would try removing the files in the Project Management folder. Both of these files are changed when you set the working folder.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\C3D 2024\enu\Project Management

The other option is that the dialog box could be popping up off screen.  It opens a file dialog box.  If this is the case you can hold down ALT+SPACE and then M.  This will allow you to move the window around with the arrow keys.  You can see if this moves it into where you can see it.

Thanks.

Thank you for posting this! I have tried both of these good ideas and I still do not get the dialog box. The ALT+SPACE and M seemed very promising, but I can tell there is nothing off screen because when I do this I do not get a cross hairs with arrows indicating that something has been selected for me to move.

I am having the exact same problem. Whether I right-click in the Toolspace or try to set the working folder through the Manage tab, the program seems to execute something, and then the command closes with nothing having happened. No pop-up window. Nothing.
