Crossing Utilities - Table/Chart

Does anybody know if there is a way within C3D for me to be able to put all the utilities together in a chart/table where it mention about the potential crossing utilities? If so, can you please share screenshot(s) of the step(s) to get to that?

I use a pipe network table with a network of only crossing pipe and it spits out the utility description, size, material, inverts and station

Hi @Joe-Bouza - how do you get to that step? When I try to create a table, it only gives me information about the pipes instead of the information for the crossing utilities.

I assume you have network(s) for the utility, including everything that doesn't necessarily cross. You can either manually select the crossing pipe or split them to <crossing network>

The contents of the table is up to you. Edit a table style to have the contents you want/ need.

I know you are going to be disappointed with this next statement. you probably want a table that list thing like water over sanitary with the clear distance. this table isn't going to do that. it will only list the one pipe info as a "potential crossing". I know this is disappointing and why civil 3d doesn't do it is rather bewildering. All the necessary data is there but they don't have it.

the only way I know how to get a tabel of enumerated crossing | utilty1/ utility 2 | separation distance. is with a dynamic block.

The dynamic block can be defined with fields for number, crossing type and distance. basically a block with attributes that get info passed to them with fields. the distance field can be accomplished with  a stretch parameter. 

... I'm going on about Dyno Blocks and dont know if you know much about them. do you?

I don't know of a way for C3D to automatically generate a table showing utility crossing conflicts, but a way you can identify potential conflicts with pipe networks is to use the Interference Check.  You select the Pipe network (a single network or 2 specific), set the minimum distance criteria and C3D will identify any the crossings.  From there you'd have to do some manual work in plan & profile to get your crossing elevations.

This tool drives me nuts. It can gather all the data for for all the crossing pipes, obviously it computes the separation, and it cant give a table.

A Utility crossing table is a fundamental requirement of civil plans. particularly when submitting to a DOH.

And the interference tool does it all just wont spit it out
