Hi Yoks,
Try "Automatic" or "Polyline Vertices - Automatic"

I see text labels. Are they where you're getting the elevations or another source? Are the labels text, mtext, mleaders or what. I'm asking because sometimes you can build a surface from text or blocks and get the elevation from the surface. If you could post your drawing or a part of it with some of the lines and labels in it. That could help us find a method.

Yoks,
Your lines don't have elevations, so it looks like the way you're doing it is as good as it gets.

I thought you might be able to use Move Text to Elevation. But there's no way I can find to get the elevation in the point without moving the text to the vertex of the PLine and creating a surface. Then you'd have to assign the piont elevation from the Surface.

Change the attached file extension to .AUF and import it.  Zoom and pan around to inspect the resulting CogoPoints.

There is no built in tool to do this.  I used a tool in a third party add-on C3DTools, called Convert Leaders to Points.  If you post the full drawing (only the leaders layer) I will run the tool on it and give you the results so you don't have to do all the manual work, or you can request the 45-day full working demo and do it on your end.

Follow the 3CDTools link in the above post. Scroll to the bottom of the page. There are instructions there on how to get a Demo copy.
