Civil3D 2018 Crossing Contour Settings

Not to much of an issue regarding the data itself as no error shows up. Just wanting to know if there is a setting I can change to prevent contour crossing on my surfaces. I have attached a jpg to show what I mean.

Dear Friend,

Is this surfaces created with contours. ?

sometimes you might see surface contours (which was generated by Civil 3D) and original contours (Which was initially in the drawing before creating surface).

When the contour interval of these contours change you might see the crossing contours with no errors.

If you select these crossing contours some may select whole surface and some may select individually. Then you can verify there are two kinds of contours.

As a solution you can data reference the surface or export the surface as land xml to get rid from the visual conflict. Further freezing the contours may also help (I haven't tested it)

Thanks

jeew,

The surface is from a base file we have and is data referenced in.

The file was created using points manually put in based on a site plan we have,

thus there is no contour layering (doubling) in the drawing, I am uncertain as

I attempted the XML file but to no avail.

Again, no real concern only that contractors may get confused on how the contours are displaying.

Thanks for the quick response.
