Civil 3D 2026 with AutoCAD 2026.0.1 - No Map in ribbon

Interesting and very annoying issue - just installed C3D 2026 and no option for showing the maps which is present in 2025....

.....and C3D 2026 includes the AutoCAD 2026.0.1 patch

This is using the British English version of Civil 3D 2026 (eng) rather than the American English (enu) - so perhaps a pathing issue?

It is probably something else, but have you assigned a coordinate system in Drawing Settings, Unit and Zone?

In USA version Civil 3D 2025 and 2026 the Geolocation tab does not appear until Unit and Zone are set.

This is all set in the template - I wouldn't have the Geolocation Tab if they weren't set. I'll create a Support Case if I can work out how to do it; can see all the the cases but not how to create a new one...!!!!!

The OOTB Metric template is based on the NCS Layers which isn't used in the UK but I tried and the used GEOCSASSIGN and still no maps - I'm going to raise a support ticket in the first instance and may also uninstall 2026 and reinstall the first release version and then add the Vanilla CAD patch 2026.0.1

I did a clean uninstall and reinstall and installed the first Civil (without the AutoCAD 2026.0.1 patch) and the Maps appeared but only the ESRI ones - no Bing at all. I then installed the 2026.0.1 AutoCAD patch and the Maps had again disappeared.....so it's another uninstall and reinstall...😡

As of 10:00 am Arizona Time, 2025-04-22, I have been able to access Bing imagery from both Civil 3D 2936 Imperial and Metric (USA).

I inquired during this morning's "What's New in Civil 3D 2026" webinar and was told "It was just fixed (or added back)." This was in the Q&A windows, not verbal.

I do not know if this is global or if it will take time to roll out.

Hopefully you will have Bing back soon.

I do not know is this is an appropriate zone, but it is one that enables the Geolocation tab.

(I cannot be sure, but yesterday when I first tested this, I had not installed the AutoCAD fix and I believe it worked for me.)

The Geolocation tab is a core AutoCAD feature. Have you tried this in AutoCAD vs Civil 3D?

Searching elsewhere I find that, at least for enterprise, Microsoft suggests Azure Maps over Bing Maps.
Bing maps definitely is or is not being phased-out/deprecated. You will feel right at home with Microsoft's version of transparency.   

The year 2018 is mentioned, but I would take that as a kind of, sort of, maybe thing.

ESRI maps are working (no Bing maps) without the AutoCAD 2026.0.1 "fix" and I'm reluctant to apply this fix, as if it all goes wrong (again), there is no uninstall and it is a total removal of Civil 3D 2026 and reinstall.  

I have raised a Support Request but no response thus far

One of my colleagues inadvertently installed Civil 3D 2026 US English version and the Maps (Bing and ESRI) worked as expected. My conclusion is therefore that there is something wrong with the current build of the British English Version of Civil 3D
