1. Select Labels on your alignment.

2.  Edit alignment labels.

3.  At the top of this dialog, select the Type and the style.  In the drop down to the right "edit current selection".

4. Go to LAYOUT tab.

5. Select contents.

You should be able to get it from here.

OR

1.  Settings tab in Toolspace

2. Alignment

3. Label Styles

4. Station

5. Major Station (as one example)

6. Parallel with Tick (as one example)

7. Edit

First of all , Thanks for your reply
but that is not what i meant
it wasn't about changing text color or size .. but about editing the text
FORMULA "add or remove text" as shown in the attached screenshots

If items like that are greyed out you have locks set somewhere in the hierarchy of your template, either in drawing setting or labels somewhere.

Your second pic shows wanting to change the Font.  That is what I related.

I'm having the same issue with the full version of Civil3d 2020 after upgrading Windows to Windows 10. Windows 7 did not have this issue.

I've tried editing text in general labels, alignment labels and surface labels with the same result.

I just tried changing the text style that I use to a Tru Type font and the editor is working!

You most likely need to remove and reinstall C3D 2020, most do.

Full uninstall then reinstall yesterday afternoon fixed the problem. Tried repair but repair wouldn't run so I'm guessing a bad install.

Thanks
