You can generate automatic linework, but you would need to set up a figure prefix database, and figure styles to go with it.

Just to confirm it might be done without survey database correct?

Thanks

Figures would be created utilizing the survey database. I'm not aware of a way to generate linework in c3d tied to points without it.

Sofia,

Without using the Survey Database, you could use an old school <<<AutoCAD Script>>>. More info <<<Here>>>.

The Sincpac set of addins has a connect COGO points command.  It connects selected COGO points of the same description in ascending point number.

Dave,

Thank you for the reply. Although it didn't work for me. I followed the steps, and when i run _script command it asks me for "specify a point". I thought it should bring all points according to their coordinates.

Thank you.

Although I would like to be able to do it without addins.

Sofia,

"...bring all points according to their coordinates."

It will. Does your Script File look like this? (Note the Space in last row.)

You may already be aware of these options to create lines after you have the points imported?  Create lines by # or range of #'s, name, object, ect.

Thank you.

It worked for me. I had to set up 3 components: Description keys, Figure Prefix Database and Linework code sets before importing csv file into my drawing.
