attribute table to create object data missing

Hi,

I'm bringing shapefiles into civil 3D and when i click on data to create object data no pop-up display appears - its entirely disappeared. I would assume it might be off screen somewhere but this hasn't happened before. I've been able to create object data perfectly fine in the past and only suddenly is the pop up missing. 

Is there any solution to this or some way to reset? 😞

Hi @ntanVF8MF,
The only thing that occurs to me is to check the DBF file. It might be empty. Drag-n-Drop the shapefile into your drawing and open the Attribute Table. What does it show?

What does this mean? Are you bringing in shapefiles as a Feature Data Object (FDO)?

1-Adding a Shapefile using a Data Connection.

If not a Data Connection, then are you using MapImport?

2-Adding a shapefile using MAPIMPORT command.

The method you use to 'bring in' the shapefile plays a big role in describing your issue and a step-by-step solution is incumbent upon you describing your end goal. Please explain your expectations using your specific workflow, whatever that workflow may be.

Hi, thanks for responding. 

I use MapImport and when I click the three dots to open 'attribute data' (like your image) and it does not show up. Attached is a screenshot of my screen when i try to open the attribute data - the mapimport tab fades out and im unable to click anywhere on the screen. 

quite an odd issue. the attribute data used to pop up fine like normal but now it's disappeared. 

PS Ive also tried restarting, uninstalling Civil, minimised my screen etc.

the problem right now is that the attribute table does not pop up anymore after i do a mapimport of my shapefile:(

Thanks for posting the screen shot. Does this happen with all shapefiles, or just this one? Can you post your shapefile?
Do you have all updates for your 2023: AutoCAD, Map, and Civil?
