alignment+super elevation diagram problems

Hello Guys!

I have a problem.

I made my road alignment and at the beginning and at the end. Because normal circles do not end where i want, i replaced them with arc and added to the original alignment.(I tried to break circles vertexs, but it does not work). Speed tests are ok and satisfy road parameters.

When I made superelevation diagrams, the arcs are not recognized as curves but as spirals. How can I solve this?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Dear Friend,

What is design guideline you are following. Are the curves satisfy the minimum radius/length requirements for your design speed. It seems like the some curves are shorter than the spirals. If it is possible to upload the dwg that is more convenient.

Thanks

The first spiral do not satisfy because I set as speed 60 Km/h.   But, because it is beginning of the road and vehicles can reach 30 Km/h. By setting this it satisfy.

Here the upload

Your alignment starts with a curve. You also have a design check file and superelevation guideline in your template. If the superelevation file does not describe how to draw alignment when it starts with a curve Civil 3D will get lost how to start it. I hope that's what has happened here.

Go to superelevation editor and manually adjust the superelevation to your desired value at start.

Thanks

Note

Usually Roads are designed for fix design speed for a certain section. It is bit odd to have 60,61,64 Km/h speed sections at near intervals. Instead you might select a fix speed such as 60km/h for whole section.
