Adding mask to surface removes display of user contours

Can someone confirm this for me? If I create a surface and do a user contour analysis, when I add a mask to this surface, the user contours no longer display. I just want to make sure I'm not loosing my mind. Civil 3D 2020.4.

I'm getting the same thing in C3d 2020.5.2. Since i usually don't use masks I can't say if this is normal or bugged.

Hi @BrianHailey, @cwr-pae, 

Considering that the other surface analysis work, e.g, Elevation even with the surface mask applied, I'm seeing no reason why user-defined contours will behave differently. 

I've seen these in a couple of different posts. I searched internally but didn't find anything logged. I will log this and share this with the product team.

I would expect a Mask to eliminate everything within the mask. Why should we expect otherwise? Not sure what you are thinking Brian.

I think I understand now. You are saying ALL user contours disappear, not just within the mask. I'll step aside.

Yes ALL user contours are removed, including those beyond the mask boundary
