Add Vertex to Spline Leader

How do you add a vertex to a spline leader? I hover over the existing vertices with my mouse, but the option to add vertex doesn't appear, even after I increase the max amount of vertices. Insert PI doesn't work cause it's not a feature line. Mleaderedit doesn't work cause it's a leader, not a multileader. Suggestions?

How was the spline leader created?

If created using Command: QLEADER, this command has several limitations and I don't know of any way to add a vertex to a qleader or dimleader.

Command: MLEADER generated straight and spline leaders both support additional vertexes. Be sure to select the end (terminator) grip.

Civil 3D Styles in dragged state straight and spline leaders both support additional vertexes.

Thanks. I didn't know that Qleader had that issue. I'm working with files someone else created, so they must have used Qleader. Fortunately I only needed to add splines to a few leaders, so I just created new ones.
