3D visualization, rendering and animation: working on a road design

Hello,

I have a completed roadway project created in autocad civil 3d 2012 and what I would like is to create some 3d visualization, rendering drawings.

Can anyone provide me some links on how to do this?

Thanks for your reply but I dont have max. Autocad civil 3d 2012 has a pull done menu called analysis and 3d where they have basic 3d tools. If I have a complete roadway design in autocad civil 3d 2012 with bridge and retaining wall can I produce a 3d drawing with these tools if so how?

Would you be interested for 3d visualization through Google Earth?

 If you want to produce basic rendering within Civil 3d you have 2 options.  First, visualize your roadway using your corridor links, nice article here: http://www.cadalyst.com/cad/autocad/visualizing-civil-3d-data-part-1-cad-clinic-civil-3d-tutorial-37...

You can also use your tin surfaces to render.This might be helpful: http://www.civil4d.com/2010/02/really-easy-rendering/

This might be decent workflow combining these 2 options. 

Also, as Civil 3d is based on Autocad, you can convert your civil data to either solids (extract corridor solids command) or surfaces and render them as Autocad objects.I usually switch to 3d modeling workspace if I do this. Then  under "Visualize" tab you have all the options you need for basic rendering"

However, my experience shows to avoid rendering big projects (such as roadways) in Civil 3d,  but for basic image to show an idea it might be enough.
