3D Models in Corridor

What is the best way to model a relatively detailed element in a corridor?  I am new to using corridors and we are trying to switch from a 2D system of drawing vertical profiles for underground electrical duct banks.  I have successfully built a dynamic subassembly for the duct bank, but I would also like to incorporate the manholes used to splice the cable in the corridor and corresponding profile if possible.

So...

Is it possible to build a 3D model of the manhole in Infrastructure Parts Editor or in Inventor and produce a pkt or other type of file that can be added to a corridor?  If this is not possible, what would be the best way to accomplish this?

Hi @jalawson, take a look at the structures of pipe networks.

I think it may help you better than a corridor in this case. Pipe networks are composed of pipes and structures, you can use the structures as the manholes you explained, these manholes can be projected to profile views and are 3d objects. I'm not sure if you can import from parts editor / inventor in Subassembly Composer.

I've helped develop this tool that will create the pipe network for dry utilities, including electric, that will allow one to create the pipes and structures.

Unfortunately, it isn't easy to modify the network once it's created and doesn't model the excavation and backfill. I'd take the profile used for the duct depth and then create a corridor to create the excavation and backfill quantities.
