Using C3D 2019 updated service pack installed. After making any modification to the pipe network dwg, any dwg that is open at the same time and has the pipe network shortcutted into it, closes without warning, we have lost several hours work due to this issue.

This is major issue number 3 we are having with 2019. no answers to any of these problems yet.

Hi @Anonymous ,

this issue is covered with knowledge base article http://knowledge.autodesk.com/article/Crash-while-saving-a-drawing-with-data-referenced-pipe-network-in-Civil-3D-2019-1Crash-while-saving-a-drawing-with-referenced-data-shortcuts-in-Civil-3D

It is also discussed in froum thread:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/civil-3d-2019-session-disappearing-without-error-data-reference/m-p/8388094#M384945

The Civil 3D development team is actively working on it and a fix is scheduled for update 2019.3 and 2020.1.

Regards,

Karsten

Those are not solutions. Jacked up work arounds to a software we pay $25,000 a year to keep up to date.

Uninstall SP 2 and wait for a Hotfix or SP3.  That is what we have done at our office.  Not at all ideal as SP2 has some great performance fixes.
