How do i extend the begining of my sheet first sheet beyond the alignment. When making sheets it asks you to pick your alignment. then it starts your first sheet right at the alignment. need to start before that. can i modify the views that it creates?

A couple of easy ways:

1-On the Sheets page of the Create View Frames dialog box, there's a heading titled View Frame Placement with a checkbox option to "Set the first viewframe..." Toggle that on and specify whatever distance you want the view frame to start ahead of the alignment.

2-The way I usually do it is just by manually rotating & moving the View Frames themselves PRIOR to cutting the sheets. Once the sheets are cut, the viewports won't dynamically update if the view frame positions are altered. This method does affect your match lines, however, if you do indeed use them.
