Incorrect scalar mixing - update required

The scalar model used in Autodesk CFD show abnormal behaviour in terms of scalar quantity.

The following images show scalar, velocity magnitude and turbulent energy based on a scenario where two gases are injected into a large chamber. Mixing is underestimated [diffusive - not convective?] compared to experience and other software . Based on conversations with Autodesk support [feel free to comment], this is is a result of a solver using only diffusion coefficient rather than eddy viscosity to calculate solve the scalar trasport equation.

An update is critical - without this, the current scalar mixing implementation is of limited use.

Eric,

Have you tried using the Turb_Scalar flag that is available?

Would you be able to check that and see if it suffices with what you are asking for

Thanks

With the release of CFD 2016 SP2, I believe this bug has been resolved.
