Wall layers

Hello,

When enabling wall layers in a model is it possible to only add them on some parts?  For an example, is it possible to add wall layers to the car body only in the external aerodynamics tutorial?  The issue I am having is that when adding wall layers to a similar simulation it adds the wall layers to the outside of the air part as well.  This greatly increases the element count but is not needed for the model.

Thanks

Bob

Hi @bob.schlosser,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! Unfortunately this is not possible- wall layers is a global thing. Just a side note, surfaces with a slip/symmetry BC will not have wall layers because it is not considered a wall. BUT only use this BC if it physically makes sense!

Thanks,
