Venturi type pressure boster

Venturi type pressure boster

Hi i am trying to increase pressure (static and/or total) through venturi tube.

Is it cnvenient to verify results ?

Hi,

 

Is this different to your other thread?

Your model is under constrained, you must properly define what is happening at the inlet so that CFD can define the density.

 

Ideally, a Total Pressure, Mass Flow rate and Temperature, here is a link explaining how to calculate them.

Then you need to assign a Total Temperature in the Solve window also.

 

I think I said this before but please consider running a 2D axisymmetric analysis, no need to spend time in 3D here I don't think 🙂

inlet 1 atm static/gage.

outlet 0 atm static/gage.

 

the shape is very simple.

no complex curves/edges.

You mean to set it as picture here ?

Yeah i've did it .

 

inlet static/gage 2 atm

outlet static/gage 0 atm

 

 

No. Is it ok to change it for me.

I am trying to make set up as simple as possible and i am using CDF since 1 week.

 

Currently i would like to use the most basic config.

 

I've put temp around 26 degrees Celsius.

under compressible option in the Solve dialog window.

I set compressible flow.

There is not really a simple approach to doing this, CFD simply will not give you the right results without a properly defined inlet - it needs to know what the exact air properties here are.

Are you comfortable calculating what I shared?


If not, let's do it step by step:

 

  1. Do you know the flow rate or do you need CFD to calculate this?
  2. How is the device fed, where does the air come from?

Hi,

 

Might I ask you to stick to one thread? We have three now for the same model.

 

You need to define this better, it simply will not work with what you have assigned.

 

At the inlet, you must calculate the Total Pressure and the Temperature.

You also need to define a Total Temperature in the Solve window.

 

Please answer some of the questions I posted above or I will be unable to help further.
