After setting my material (inventor solid part that represents the fluid volume)
boundary conditions set (pressure zero at outlet, velocity magnitude at inlet)
mesh automatic, doesn't seem to be too fine
solver settings are matched to this tutorial: actually I can't find said tutorial now, but it is on youtube and I will update as soon as I find it.
I have followed as much of this trouble shooter that is relevant to my setup:
This issue is recurring nomatter what settings I have, nomatter how simple the model is leading me to believe that it is nothing that I can influence. I managed to get it to work once and cannot remember what I did, but since then it has failed on every cycle.
I am logged into my autodesk account through cfd, and the autodesk app, and I have the simulation manager and app manager set to run on startup.
It most certainly isn't a resource issue as this pc is a monster (am running the simulation locally) so it meets the recommended system configuration.
I am using a student license which hasn't given me issues in the past.
I have attached a zip of the study folder and the model of the fluid volume in case anyone wanted to try it out and have more success.
I have tried it with a model as simple as a straight pipe and achieved the same result.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with no change.
Really starting to lose faith with Autodesk as I never had any issues with solidworks simulation software and since making the transition years ago I have had problems repeatedly 😞
If you can solve my problem you have my deepest respect and i'll even buy you a drink 😃 🍺
