Loading Project problem

I'm not getting very far with Model Coordination, when I go to it I just get the Loading Project Icon and it just stays there.

The project is just a test project with a number of DWGs

Have other people seen this?

Gary

Hi Gary. I believe this will be an effect of missing Tracking IDs [a background service that we run to track objects across model versions] on your models - I'm assuming you already had the models in Document Management before creating the Coordination Space?

You should be able to resolve this by uploading your model files again in Document Management, which will trigger these processes to run again. Once this is done the first time, it should continue to work without problem.

Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've uploaded the files again, but I still get the same problem.

It just sits there Loading Project.

By the way if I'm in project admin > service tab and click Model Coordination link on the left side menu I get the same problem.

Thanks

Gary

Hi @Anonymous,

Did you uploaded files to BIM 360 Docs folder and then went to Model Coordination?

Thank you and have  a great day!

I've tried it a couple of different ways: I've created a folder in Docs management, then activated Model Coordination and pointed to the folder. After that I have uploaded the files.

I've also uploaded the files first and then activated Model Coordination.

In both cases the results are the same with Loading project icon when I go to  Model Coordination.

I really would like to get working so I can present  Model Coordination, at the moment I can't get it to work at all.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

Gary

Hi @Anonymous,

Looks like you have submitted support case for this behavior currently and working with my colleague Luciane for this issues. She reach out to me an mention that you are trying to upload Civil 3D tin surface file to Model coordination space. I am afraid to let you know that Model Coordination may not be able to support this type of file yet. Lucinae and I will follow-up with development team and will give you an update soon.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi there,

I have a similar case (CaseNo: 14356660) but have only 3 Revit models loaded. Model Coordination was working properly right up until the project setting to select the Coordination Space was added to the interface. Since then, it goes to the "Calculating Clash Results" window and stalls.

Update to my original comment. Paul Walker's comment above resolved my issue.

Is there a good way of being notified of the back end changes being made to BIM 360 and how they may affect assets in existing projects? Having access to this information proactively would be ideal.

Thanks,

Mike
