Hello AD Support,
I just want to know the which file formats the BIM 360 docs supports?
Kind regards,
Philip
BIM 360 Docs has two areas of concern in regards to file types.
In the Plans and Shop Drawings, my experience tells me that only Files from AutoCAD and Revit can be uploaded as well as PDFs.
In the Project files section, any file can be uploaded but only those supported by the Autodesk viewer (Autodesk files) can be viewed. If you have a word doc for instance, you can store it on docs but you will need to download it and view it in the native application.
This may change in further releases,
good luck

Hi,
Because the 'Plans" and "Shop Drawings" folders / subfolders are designed for managing, publishing, and reviewing the individual project drawings and models, we have limited the file types in these purpose-built folders to formats that we automatically separate into individual sheets (PDF, DWG, DWF, RVT).
In the "Project Files" folders and subfolders, multi-sheet files are not extracted into individual sheets. You can upload any file type to these folders.
Today, we support viewing of design files and PDF's. Support for viewing other file formats is on the product roadmap.
Best Regards,
Joan Allen
Hi this post was a year ago and I would like to know if you now support viewing other types of formats. In my company we use BOX for other formats and 360 Docs for Autodesk and PDFs. It would be great just to use 360 Docs for everything.
Hello Joan,
Do you have any plan to integrate also Autodesk Robot Structural analysis files format (rtd) in future ?
Thank you in advance for your answer
Goodarz
